How the calculation works
Annual gross salary is the base for employer contributions. Each social contribution uses its specified rate and applies only to the part of the base between its floor and cap: max(0, min(base, cap) − floor) × rate. A missing floor means zero; a missing cap means unlimited.
Contributions with eligibility conditions are skipped entirely when those conditions are not met. In India, contributions marked as basic-salary contributions use 50% of annual gross salary, the minimum basic salary share under the Labour Codes.
Total annual employer cost is gross salary plus the included contributions. Monthly cost is the annual total divided by 12, and the percentage shows contributions on top of gross salary. USD conversion changes only the displayed amounts, not the calculation base.
